The Ascent

♡The Ascent♡

"keep up !" stated Avani from about 5 meters high. Dixie whined and carried on climbing up. Avani and Dixie were doing a charity hike up Mount Everest. Avani was all dynamic and hyped up whereas Dixie was tired as they hiked for 2 hours already. "Wait for me, it is not my fault I am weary" moaned Dixie. "Oh fine, we will take a very quick break," answered Avani. As they both settled on the dirt rocky ground, heavy rain started to pour down.  "Oh, no...why rain now" Avani began. "This slightly relaxing moment had to be spoiled. `` Dixie looked at the grey overcast sky sharply. "Well, let's quickly set up our waterproof tent! And we better do it quickly!"  Dixie and Avani got their tent out and began. 

After a few failed attempts, Avani and Dixie finally set up their tent and scampered inside to get away from the rain. "We are guarded here-" said Dixie.

"mhm-" 

"that the rain is a monster! Hahaha!" finished Dixie. Avani gave a chuckle and looked up at the clouded sky, the rain was settling. Pitter patter. Avani and Dixie saw this and started to pack up and get moving up and off again. They had days more to get to their goal. 

Sleepless nights later, they could finally see the peak of the mountain. The weather was unbelievably cold and harsh. “Yay” both of them cheered slightly. “Sleepless nights sure do make you weary,” Avani said.
